BREEZE ExDAM - Explosion and Damage Assessment Modeling Suite

BREEZE ExDAM V8.0 is an Explosives Damage Assessment Simulation Suite designed to evaluate the potential damage to structures and injury to people caused by high explosives or vapor cloud explosions. The ExDAM Suite is currently being used by engineers, explosives experts, security professionals, architectural firms, homeland security agencies, and blast mitigation companies.  Version 8.0 builds on the proven science and technology successfully demonstrated by the previous version, however, the similarities end there! Version 8.0 is a quantum leap forward in scientific modeling and 3D visualization and has been redesigned from the ground up and now includes the following new features and capabilities:

  • High performance, fully interactive 3D model builder and scene editor
  • Modern 'ribbon' toolbar resulting in Improved modeling work flow (i.e. no more clumsy menus and button-only toolbars)
  • Active data tree to organize structures and model runs into manageable groups
  • Selection-sensitive properties grid for quickly and accurately modifying structure properties (i.e. no more bulky dialog boxes)
  • Model run queue with optimized numerical model providing 10x faster run times
  • Compressed model run archive files efficiently manage all project content including model objects, inputs, and results
  • Improved 2D and 3D results organization, visualization, and analysis functionality 

The user interface for the ExDAM Product Suite has been completely redesigned to take full advantage of Microsoft’s Fluent Ribbon Bar design. The Ribbon bar makes it easier for people to find and use the full range of powerful features now available. The main benefit - users are now more efficient and spend more time and energy focused on modeling development and results analysis. In addition, the functionality of the program has been dramatically improved to give you more powerful tools for building detailed 3D models, assigning material properties, populating the scene with people, and performing iterative explosion analysis by batch-running multiple explosive scenarios. Expanded modeling and simulation capabilities support the most challenging explosives modeling projects thanks to the integration on state-of-the-art active model editor and 3D visualization tools.

Enhanced Exporting and Reporting Options

The exporting and reporting capabilities of ExDAM have been significantly upgraded.  A full range of common graphical image formats (including - gif, jpg, tif, phg, and bmp) can now be directly exported for use in other third-part editing software or inserted direclty into a report document

HExDAM - High Explosive Damage Assessment Model:

BREEZE HExDAM is designed to estimate the damage caused to structures and people as a result of exposure to overpressure and dynamic pressures generated from the detonation of high explosives.

Fire

VExDAM - Vapor Cloud Explosive Damage Assessment Model:

BREEZE VExDAM is designed to estimate the damage caused to structures and people resulting from exposure to overpressure and dynamic pressures generated from the detonation of an explosive vapor cloud.

Toxic

VASDIP - Vulnerability Assessment of Structurally Damaging Impulses and Pressures:

VASDIP is an excellent companion product to BREEZE HExDAM / VExDAM, as it computes the corresponding vulnerability parameters for use within these applications.
